Listener and reader Stan texted me this morning after reading my report for SQ Private Briefing and he shared something with me that i had to pass it on to you.
Before I do, he also wanted me to tell you how much he appreciates you and that you and I are his favorite people to listen to and read.
But here’s what he sent and it blew me away.
Revelation 6:4 says,''And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword'
The Greek for sword is machaira and it’s also called a slaughter-knife. It's a short sword or dagger used for stabbing.
But how could a dagger or short sword be great? It doesn’t really make any sense until Stan looked up the Russian word for sword.
It’s Kinzhal, the same name as their hypersonic missiles!
As someone who was intimately familiar with large ICBMs, (Daniel was a missile launch serviceman in the U.S. Air force ) it always struck me how those hypersonic missiles were so much shorter that the big ones. Hence, a 'short' sword.
I then looked up the word “great” from the Greek.
It’s megas, the same word we get MEGA-TON from!
