Former prime minister Ariel Sharon’s life hung in the balance late Wednesday night, following a significant deterioration in his condition.


Sheba Medical Center spokesman Amir Marom said Sharon’s condition had deteriorated over the past few days. Asked what was expected for the day ahead, he said, “Only God knows.”




Sharon’s two sons, Omri and Gilad, remained close to their father late Wednesday awaiting further developments and treatment.


“We have hope, we always have hope,” Omri Sharon, a former MK, told The Jerusalem Post from the hospital.


Doctors at Sheba reportedly told Gilad and Omri that their father had no more than a few days left to live.


Channel 2 reported that Sharon’s condition was initially revealed by a minister who happened to come to the hospital for treatment and spoke to the former prime minister’s family.


Sharon has been undergoing dialysis treatments for kidney failure in order to prevent the failure of the rest of his organs. The former prime minister underwent surgery a month and a half ago to treat an infection caused by kidney failure.
The 11th prime minister of Israel has been in a coma since his January 4, 2006, stroke. Sharon’s family intended to mark the anniversary of the stroke this week.


The 85-year-old has mostly undergone care at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer since then.


He has seen sporadic positive responses to scans that measure brain activity, but has remained in a deep vegetative state since his initial hospitalization.


Last January, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) of Sharon’s brain had shown “surprisingly significant” activity, according to a team of brain researchers at Beersheba’s Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Soroka University Medical Center on Sunday.


However, it did not indicate that he would ever regain consciousness, or that he felt anything, other MRI experts said.


Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who founded the Kadima party together with Sharon, wrote on Facebook: “I can’t stop thinking about Arik tonight.”


Former deputy foreign minister Danny Ayalon, who was an adviser to Sharon, tweeted Omri and Gilad Sharon, “I’m with you in these tough hours. Arik, you are missed.”


Sharon is one of Israel’s legendary politicians and military leaders. He played an instrumental role in IDF victories in the Sinai desert in both the 1967 Six Day War and in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. His victories on the battlefield, immortalized by the image of him in an IDF uniform with a white bandage wrapped around his wounded forehead, earned him the title, “Arik, King of Israel.”


He was equally fearless in the political arena, where he was the father of two parties, Likud and Kadima. As defense minister in 1982, he oversaw the Lebanon War before he was ousted from office in 1983 as a result of the Sabra and Shatilla massacre for which the Kahn Commission of Inquiry found him indirectly responsible.
But he returned to politics. As construction and housing minister from 1990 to 1992, he was responsible for a massive building effort of 144,000 apartments to house the flood of Russian-speaking immigrants from the former Soviet Union bloc. As the father of the settlement movement, he was also instrumental in building thousands of homes in Judea and Samaria and is famous for urging right-wing activists “to run for the hilltops.”


He rose to the post of foreign minister in 1998. In September 2000, as the head of the Likud party, his walk on the Temple Mount was cited by Palestinians as the trigger for the second intifada.


He was elected prime minister in 2001 and under his leadership Israel began to built its security barrier in the West Bank.


He was famous for the slogan “The fate of Netzarim [a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip] is the fate of Tel Aviv.” But as prime minister, he formulated and executed the disengagement, in which Israel evacuated 21 Gaza settlements along with another four in northern Samaria. In 2005, he left the Likud in anger, choosing to create Kadima with Shimon Peres, Ehud Olmert and Livni.


After his stroke, Kadima went on to win the 2006 election under Olmert’s leadership.

It's very strange to think of the Rabbi Kaduri "prophecies. Even though the alleged note supposedly says "Jesus" which is also the name Joshua in Hebrew.....Kaduri made same very strange predictions. Many of which did not come true...and some relating to the messiah appearing in Israel, and also "attaching himself to a soul". It's probably more likely that the prophecy is either false, or is in relation to the antichrist than the coming of Christ himself. Is it impossible? No, but there's a lot of questions around this information...and the sources aren't exactly ironclad.

With the turn of the new year and this new news of Ariel Sharon it again begs the question, how close are we to the return of the Lord?

Me thinks onlyoneimage has it pegged above. If there is any credence to this prophecy by Rabbi Kaduri, then the 'Yeshua' he refers to is undoubtedly the fake one coming.

To say that Kaduri prophesied that it is Jesus Christ Sharon's death heralds is amiss. He said "Yeshua". As interesting as it may seem for him to write that in his note it is a far cry to assume he meant the Lamb of God. Still, it can't be long for things to break now.

Something is getting ready to happen.

Wouldn't it be exciting if it were to be the real deal and our precious Savior shows up? Yes, I am a dreamer who doesn't want the horrors of the tribulation period to NOT be in front of us.

But, we know the ANTI-Christ shows up first and rules over a global government. Since we see the global government setting up, war brewing in the middle east and have not experienced the buying/selling only with a mark yet then I believe what we can expect to show up shortly after Ariel Sharon dies is the AC.

Hold on to your faith as things are going to be bumpy in 2014. I can feel it all through my being and have since right before the New Year. This feeling of dread may be personally about my situation but I don't think it is just about my life but is a spiritual heads up to get to praying, get closer to Him and grow in my faith.

Heads up! It's almost show time!! Since this is the time frame of our Savior taking back the earth and jailing satan, let's make our Savior proud of us when we see Him face to face!! (Can you tell I am both scared to death and energized at the the same time? I am trying to function normally with a terrible knot in my stomach that won't go away). HallaluYAH!

I pray for the Lord to come soon also.
We are told we are not appointed to wrath.
It is the wicked that destroy the Earth that are.

Jesus told the disciples, did I not say you are as gods.
And we are worth more than a thousand sparrows.

So why not? if we watch, I believe he comes before or during the requirement of the beast marking.
Some are left behind because they were not watching and go through it all... but taken before the final destruction.

Condition of ex-Israel PM Sharon worsens: hospital

Jerusalem (AFP) - The health of former Israeli premier Ariel Sharon has worsened over the past hours, hospital officials said on Thursday, describing him as being in "extremely critical" condition.


"Over the past hours, there has been a worsening of the condition of former prime minister Ariel Sharon. His condition is described as extremely critical and his family is at his side all the time," said a statement from Sheba hospital near Tel Aviv where he is being treated.


Sharon has been in a coma since January 4, 2006 after suffering a massive stroke, but his condition took a sudden turn for the worse on January 1 when he suffered serious kidney problems after surgery.


Hospital sources quoted by army radio said the former premier only had "a few days or even hours" left.


On Sunday hospital director Zeev Rotstein said Sharon was facing "imminent" death.


Sharon was first elected premier in February 2001, just months after walking through east Jerusalem's flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque compound, revered by Jews as the Temple Mount, in an action that sparked the second Palestinian uprising.


Following an extraordinary and controversial career stretching back more than half a century, he became convinced Israel needed to separate from the Palestinians and unilaterally determine its own borders.


The long-time leader of the rightwing nationalist camp in Israeli politics, Sharon fell ill at the height of his political career, just months after masterminding the Jewish state's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, ending 38 years of occupation.

Good or bad, it looks like Ariel Sharon's death might indicate "the party's starting" soon.
