I've been digging into this man's work for quite a while and I figured it's high time to share it on the forum.
John Taylor Gatto was a public school teacher in NYC for roughly 30 years, receiving the teacher of the year award a few times before finally quitting in 1991. Since then, he's been lecturing and writing on the subjects of Schooling and Education.
Having some small children myself, I've been questioning how to foster their educations while avoiding schools. Mr. Gatto's work has been invaluable.

I feel like that's a good enough start for now. Some of this information is terrifying, some very liberating. Doesn't the truth tend to be both?
