Aksing prayers for my cousin Brock Jensen Quarterback. Looking for a team.

I feel a bit sheepish asking for prayers for a football player when there is so much chaos in the world right now, but he sure could use a few.

My cousin Brock Jensen played football for North Dakota State University, Bison (NDSU) as a QB. He lead the Bison to 3 straight championships titles and entered the draft this spring. He didn't get drafted but signed in free agency with the MIami Dolphins. He went to the OTA's (organized team activities) and did good. Then 2 days into fall camp they cut him and signed a kid from Colorado. They cut him on a Monday night but after the Saturday scrimmage where the 2 back-up QBs got hurt and the colorado kid wasn't doing that great, they re-signed Brock. Thank God!

He's a great kid and the kind of role model you would want for your children. But this Friday he will really have to prove himself in the pre-season game against Atlanta. Please pray that he does well, and that he settles in quickly. He always starts out a bit nervous but really settles in when the game gets going.

BTW he holds the record for the winningest QB in the history of the FCS. He has 5 championchip rings, 2 from High School and 3 from college. His senior year in high school and his senior year in college we both perfect years (they didn't lose a game). I think they only lost 3 games the entire time he started. Seriously a great kid with good sense and knowlege of the game.

I think he's the type of kid who gets the kinks out during practice and then shines during the game. If you look up his records you need to understand that his Coach Craig Bohl was an old school type guy where you run some, throw some and when you are winning by 30+ you let the next QB get some play time. So Brock never played a 4th quarter and therefor didn't rack up the stats.

Pray he does well. And help me cheer him on!

He was #16 in college and is now #6 for the Dolphins. FINS UP!

Delphi tell your husband Brock's a Viking. He knows about kringle and aebleskivers and has eaten a good many of both. (He doesn't want to play for the Vikings tho. His dream job would be the Packers)

Last night while praying for Brock, all of a sudden I hear this song coming from the telly... "Don't worry...about a thing... cuz every little thing... is gonna be alright... Don't worry... about a thing... cuz every little thing... is gonna be alright."

I kept praying and took that as a confirmation from God. There just has to be a reason that he was brought back specifically to play during the pre-season games. I feel it in my bones. And now with the prayer warriors on here I'm feeling more confident. WooHoo!

The first game is Friday night. I suppose if you live in the area you can watch it live. I have to wait to see it on the NFL channel Saturday morning. UGH! Gonna have to follow on twitter.

Thanks so much Tsemech. I was able to catch the 4th qaurter online and they didn't let Brock take a single snap. So disappointing since the Lobato kid was not doing very good at all. I think his passer rating was something like 50%.

I Thought they usually let the scrubs play in the pre-season games. Guess I assumed too much. Oh well. Brock is such a humble man of God I know he'll take it all in stride. Hope something better turns up for him. He's such an underdog anyway. Thanks team.

I guess it wasn't meant to be. Jensen was released again from Miami last night. Praying he finds the right team.

Here's video of the Kansas State game from last year. The Bison are  in green and gold and Brock is #16. They had been losing most of the game until this march started at 8:58. I don't know how many times they were 2 in long and then 3 n short and then 1st down. The video ends too soon. Kstate got the ball back with 28 secs left but Grant Olsen (Bison) comes up with the interception. Bison Victory!So much fun.

The Bison are an FCS school and they came in and defeated an FBS school, who were the defending national champs on the night they dedicated the stadium to Bill Snyder. After this game Coach Snyder sent my cousin a hand written note wishing him and the Bison much success. Bill Snyder is a class act.

Also after this game, college gameday came to North Dakota State in Fargo.

Brock is a great game manager. Nothing gets him down. He gets back up and keeps on going.  They call him the general.
