Nine US states launch probe into whether Facebook broke antitrust rules

Several state attorneys general united forces to investigate if the social media giant Facebook violated antitrust laws, hurting its users in the process.
The prosecutors will check whether Facebook “stifled competition and put users at risk,” said New York Attorney General Letitia James who is leading the probe.

The attorneys general of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia are also taking part in the probe.
In recent years Facebook has greatly expanded its business ventures, acquiring Instagram and WhatsApp Messenger which unlike their parent company are growing fast.
Meanwhile the social media behemoth is facing a litany of accusations for violating users’ privacy and misusing their data. In July, the Justice Department (DoJ) launched a probe into whether the big tech firms are complying with antitrust laws. The officials did not explicitly call out Mark Zuckerberg’s company but hinted that they will be going after the major players.
Congress also started an investigation into Facebook and other IT giants. The House Judiciary Committee head, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), voiced concern that “a handful” of companies have taken control over the vast sectors of online commerce and communications. The issue even came up in the 2020 presidential race with Democratic nomination hopefuls, like Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, arguing that Facebook is too powerful and needs to be “broken up.”

Studies Show Microwaves Drastically Reduce Nutrients in Food
As we look into this issue, think of what environmental microwaves are doing to you.  Back in the day, I was present when they installed microwave into all the doppler weather stations to be able to give us better weather predictions.  Yea, right.  Only accessible to very few, not the population at large.
Did you know that microwaving your food is one of the most damaging things you can do to reduce food quality and nutrition (and your health)?
I can remember the days growing up in the 1950s and 1960s when we prepared foods without a microwave oven. Water was boiled on the stove. The chicken was baked in an oven. Vegetables were steamed, baked, or sautéed.  The food was whole and fresh. Even a TV dinner was baked in the oven, which took about 15 minutes to warm. And then, modern science and technology brought us the microwave oven that could heat food rapidly, from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes.
The industry has claimed that microwave cooking protects the nutrient content of foods. Somehow, in tasting foods that came out of a microwave oven, the texture was changed as was the flavor. Foods cooked or reheated in microwave ovens became rubbery and lacked the savory smells and layered flavors that come from cooking foods slower and longer.




The heavenlies have been lightning up with new phenomena.  STEVE has been around for a few years now but comes and goes. 


STEVE (Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement) looks like an aurora, but it is not. The phenomenon is caused by hot (3000°C) ribbons of gas flowing through Earth’s magnetosphere at speeds exceeding 6 km/s (13,000 mph). These ribbons appear during some geomagnetic storms, revealing themselves by their soft purple glow.
Earlier this year, researchers led by Toshi Nishimura of Boston University published an important paper about STEVE. Using data from NASA’s THEMIS spacecraft, they located STEVE’s power source: Magnetic explosions called ‘substorms‘ more than 22,000 km above Earth’s surface hurl streams of hot plasma toward Earth. When the material reaches an altitude ~250 km above the Earth’s surface, it begins to emit a mauve light.
There’s more. THEMIS data showed that the same explosions could spray energetic electrons toward Earth. These electrons move even deeper into the atmosphere, all the way down to 100 km, where they ignite a form of green auroras called “the picket fence.” Indeed, many skywatchers saw the picket fence beneath STEVE over Labor Day weekend.

Yet, last year, Epstein told a New York Times journalist that he had dirt on an “astonishing number” of celebrities and powerful people.
He told writer James B. Stewart that A-listers confided in him about their sexual interests and drug use because of his notoriety.
Mr Stewart wrote: “The overriding impression I took away from our roughly 90-minute conversation was that Mr Epstein knew an astonishing number of rich, famous and powerful people, and had photos to prove it.

The U.S. government wants tech giants Apple and Google to hand over the names, phone numbers, and other data of over 10,000 users of a gun scope app, according to reports.

According to a DOJ court order application, investigators want the information of users of Obsidian 4, an app that helps to calibrate rifle scopes, as part of a probe into “possible breaches of weapons export regulations.”

The app allows gun owners to get a live stream, take video and calibrate their gun scope from an Android or iPhone device. According to the Google Play page for Obsidian 4, it has more than 10,000 downloads. Apple doesn’t provide download numbers, so it’s unclear how many iPhone owners could be swept up in this latest government data grab.

It’s an unprecedented move: Never before has a case been disclosed in which American investigators demanded personal data of users of a single app from Apple and Google. And never has an order been made public where the feds have asked the Silicon Valley giants for info on so many thousands of people in one go.

The government argues that the data acquisition of innocent people using the app will help in “identifying networks engaged in unlawful export” of certain rifle scopes.

“This pattern of unlawful, attempted exports of this rifle scope in combination with the manner in which the ATN Obsidian 4 application is paired with this scope manufactured by Company A supports the conclusion that the information requested herein will assist the government in identifying networks engaged in the unlawful export of this rifle scope through identifying end users located in countries to which export of this item is restricted,” the government order reportedly reads.

Privacy lawyer Tor Ekeland says the move will violate the rights of thousands of American citizens not connected with the unlawful scope smuggling.

“The danger is the government will go on this fishing expedition, and they’ll see information unrelated to what they weren’t looking for and go after someone for something else,” Ekeland said.

“There’s a more profound issue here with the government able to vacuum up a vast amount of data on people they have no reason to suspect have committed any crime. They don’t have any probable cause to investigate, but they’re getting access to data on them.”

It remains to be seen if Big Tech will comply with the unprecedented order, but given their willingness to restrict the American people’s Second Amendment rights, it won’t be surprising if they do.

2020 Democratic candidates like Beto O’Rourke have openly called for gun confiscation, and the New York Times has written several op-eds justifying ending the Second Amendment.



The city of San Fransisco has also labeled the National Rifle Association as a domestic terror organization despite the fact no mass shooter had any ties to the gun rights organization.

The reality is, violent crime has steadily decreased in the U.S. since 1990, according to FBI statistics.



Additionally, statistician John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center extensively documented the national crime rate in conjunction with the percentage of Americans who concealed carry and found that violent crime has decreased as concealed carry permits rose.



Lott also found that crime was lower in the areas where law-abiding citizens armed themselves versus places where gun control measures were enacted.

For example, the high-crime city of Detroit, Michigan, saw a drop in violent crime after pro-Second Amendment police chief James Craig took control of the police department in 2014. He bolstered police forces and encouraged citizens to protect themselves with firearms, which resulted in a decrease in violent crimes by double digits.

Unfortunately, despite this data, the Trump administration has even indicated it may go along with a plan to have Big Tech systematically determine who is “fit” to own a gun based not on the courts, but in arbitrary indicators of mental health by the Deep State’s HARPA project.

Northern Hemisphere battered by Typhoons Faxai, Lingling and Hurricane Dorian as China and the US come under scrutiny for altering the course of cyclones?

A powerful typhoon made landfall near Tokyo early Monday, bringing strong wind and torrential rain into the Kanto eastern Japan region and disrupting traffic in the metropolitan area. Typhoon Faxai, the 15th typhoon of this year, slammed into the vicinity of the city of Chiba shortly before 5 a.m. (8 p.m. Sunday GMT), after passing near the Miura Peninsula and crossing Tokyo Bay. The Japan Meteorological Agency put local residents on alert for stormy weather and high waves. The maximum instantaneous wind speed registered 57.5 meters per second in Chiba's Chuo Ward at around 4:30 a.m. and 43.2 meters at Tokyo International Airport in Haneda at around 3:25 a.m., breaking records in respective locations. One-hour rainfall to around 12:30 a.m. totalled 109.0 millimetres in Mount Amagi in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan. Rainfall of 72.0 millimetres was registered in the hour to 3:50 a.m. in Naka Ward in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and in the hour to around 4:30 a.m. in Tokyo's Edogawa Ward.

Typhoon Faxai made landfall near the Japanese capital before 5 a.m., according to Japan's Meteorological Agency. Its strongest winds measured 129 mph at 4.30 a.m. near Chiba City. At Haneda Airport, where 138 flights were cancelled, winds peaked at 97 mph at 3.30 a.m. One person died in Tokyo from a fall-related to the storm and dozens of people in the Kanto area were injured, according to Japanese broadcaster NHK. No injuries were reported on U.S. bases. About 932,000 households in the Kanto area were without power at 8 a.m. Monday, according to Tokyo Electric Power Co. That number fell to about 800,000 by the afternoon.

Typhoon Lingling has killed 3 people in South Korea, leaving thousands without power, Associated Press Published: Typhoon Lingling passed along South Korea's coast on Saturday, toppling trees, knocking out power to thousands and causing at least three deaths. Lingling made landfall in North Korea Saturday. Torrential rains and strong winds will continue to slam North Korea and adjacent parts of China.

Meanwhile, the BBC reported: Typhoon Lingling has passed over the Korean peninsula, leaving five people dead and 460 houses damaged or destroyed in North Korea, according to state media. The storm flooded 460 sq km (178 sq miles) of farmland, the official KCNA news agency said, in a country already suffering food shortages. There were concerns the storm, which injured three people, could worsen already severe food shortages. Earlier this year, the UN warned that up to 10 million North Koreans were "in urgent need of food assistance". Bad harvest leads to N Korea rations cut North Korean leader Kim Jong-un held an emergency meeting on Friday and scolded officials for their lack of action as Typhoon Lingling approached, KCNA said.


According to the Daily Star, China has been filmed firing microwaves at a typhoon to change its direction, according to a claim from a conspiracy theorist. For years, researchers have claimed the US government has been using technology developed by the High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) to alter weather conditions. But a new video has now surfaced that has sparked claims China is doing the same. Full story here 

Which brings us closer to home, the Guardian reported, a federal agency has, "reversed course," (no pun intended) on the question of whether Donald Trump tweeted state information about Hurricane Dorian potentially hitting Alabama, upsetting meteorologists around the country. On Sunday, Trump had warned that Alabama, along with the Carolinas and Georgia, was “most likely to be hit (much) harder than anticipated”. However, the powerful hurricane took a strange unexpected course north after the hurricane's unprecedented and "strange" behaviour of parking itself directly over the Bahamas for 48 hours.

Earlier this week, record-busting Cat 5 Hurricane Dorian was confirmed as the second-strongest Atlantic storm on record with sustained winds of 185 mph and gusts topping 220 mph (350 KMH). This monster smashed into the Bahamas and then did something I have never seen before, Hurricane Dorian parked itself over the islands for almost 48 hours, it just sat there, like a giant drill boring into the Bahamas, then as the hurricane began to weaken it started moving again.

Hurricane Dorian's natural course after it left the Bahamas should have been a direct hit, bullseye, into the city of Miami but the hurricane suddenly changed course and an almost incredible 90 deg waver from its original direction West sent it Northwards along the Florida east coast and up into the Carolinas and hugging the US East Coast. Nothing unusual there, except, after parking itself over the Bamahas for 48 hours earlier in the week, Hurricane Dorian is now literally racing towards Canada.

On the 25th of August Dorian was announced as a tropical storm and was moving 22 km/h
direction, 280 ° - W in the Atlantic.

On the 29th August Dorian was classed as a hurricane category 1 and was moving at 20 km/h direction 320 ° - NW

On the 1st September, Hurricane Dorian is pronounced a cat 5 hurricane as it approaches Florida, it begins to slow down and is now recorded as travelling at 11 km/h, 270 ° - W

On the 3rd September, Hurricane Dorian becomes stationary over the islands of the Bahamas.

On the 4th September, Hurricane Dorian weakens to a cat 2, Dorian suddenly begins to move again 9 km/h heading north.

On the 7th September Hurricane Dorian, cat 1 is racing direction NE at 41 km/h racing toward Canada and later in the week the UK.

Since hitting the Bahamas as a Category 5 storm on Sunday, Hurricane Dorian has unleashed torrential rain and winds of up to 185 mph, and while it weakened to a Category 4 on Monday, it didn't move on, crawling toward the United States at just 1 mph as if some unknown force was holding the storm off the coast of the US.

Jeff Masters, the meteorology director at Weather Underground, claimed steering currents at 18,000 feet above ground are too calm, and not pushing the hurricane in any direction. There is a high-pressure system in Bermuda that is keeping Dorian from heading north, as well as a low-pressure trough going east that is attempting to push Dorian to the north. These two systems are "fighting it out and neither is winning," Masters said. With no airflow pushing Dorian in any direction, it is "stationary," the National Hurricane Center said. "This is unprecedented." "We've never had a Category 5 stall for so long in the Atlantic hurricane record." Hurricanes need warm water to keep going, and storms that stall eventually dissipates because they keep churning up cold water from below the ocean's surface. Although the Bahamas and Gulf Stream are areas that do have deep warm water, Hurricane Dorian should still weaken a bit, even if it doesn't get moving.

There is no other way to say it: politicians and the elitists are coming for your guns. If they can get them from you and convince you to turn them over willingly, they will do so with propaganda.  But don’t expect that to be the end of it.

Isn’t it ironic that in order to take away guns from non-violent people, violent people must use guns to do so?  It’s hard to believe this escapes the minds of far too many people on this earth. 
Soros and people in the ruling class certainly want all the control in every situation and it’s much easy to enslave an unarmed populace. This is nothing less than an attempt at complete domination over everyone they think is beneath them.


According to a report by the Free Beacon, liberal billionaire George Soros’s advocacy organizations are lobbying lawmakers on Capitol Hill to repeal an act protecting firearms manufacturers from liability for gun crimes including murder, disclosure forms show. The Open Society Policy Center is Soros’s D.C.-based 501(c)4 nonprofit that works on domestic and international advocacy and is affiliated with the much larger Open Society Foundations. The center has poured nearly $9 million into lobbying a range of issues so far this year.
Soros’ group moved into gun control advocacy and reported lobbying on “issues related to a bill to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act.” The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) was passed as a bulwark against frivolous lawsuits attempting to hold gun companies responsible for criminal acts committed by third parties—sometimes decades after the first legal sale of the firearm. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the gun industry’s trade group, pushed to pass the bill in 2005. The group said the legal protections are necessary to keep gun control activists from bankrupting the industry through suits they believe have no legal standing.

Bankrupting the firearms industry with frivolous lawsuits is only one-way tyrants are attempting to disarm people.  The U.S. is seeking to enstate a social credit scoremuch like Communist China’s and it could very well be used to deny self-defense rights to people.  If you disagree with the political establishment, you won’t be allowed to own a gun.  That’s a slippery slope if ever there was one.
