The caring and communication between animals, even of different species, put much of humanity to shame. It's good to see it. They are much more God like than most humans. But it reminds us.
Tibetan Mastiff protects old wolf so he can eat! Incredible!

I was going to change up the post name but after watching so many punch out-kill videos and robberies, police beatings going both ways, etc. etc. animals have much better sense.
Mama dog pets her baby like her humans pet her. So cute.

K-9 Jethro was shot 3 times in the line of duty last night. Luckily, the bullets missed all the vital organs and bones. He is fighting hard as are the vets working to save him! Hope he will recover soon!

Dove, This post reminds me of a time several years ago . We have several chimneys in this old house- the dampers don't close the best in the world .. but we were still surprised to find a ground squirrel inside occasionally . He would help himself to my bird's seed and water . I'd hear Baybea fussing in the middle of the night and wondered what was up. (I had built her a large flight cage so it was very roomy. ). Finally we found out what was going on, when my nieces were home from college and having some girlfriends spend the night. It turns out that the ground squirrel had decided to just stick around and had gotten all snuggly in some folded clothes we had out for the girls. They screamed when he was shaken out of his cozy spot and ran into the chimney in that room. Haha He soon became affectionately know as Fredrick by all of their friends and would make appearances for several years. The best of all though, was when sister noticed her short vases with miniature roses would be strewn all around the vases on the table top. We caught glimpses of Fredrick with his head down in the vase and using his feet on the vase's top so he could delight in rosewater. . Those were great times. Thank you for reminding me.
