Thanks, Dove. I got myself a couple of B-day presents that arrived just today from Amazon.
New toilet tank flush handle to replace the one that fell apart. New flush valve to replace a leaking one that shot my water bill up by 3X times.
and the biggie...
A soft close seat to replace an ancient (and hard to clean) worn out oak seat with busted hinges.
I'll celebrate my 72nd B-day with a rebuilt shitter.
Did I happen to mention somewhere along the line just how much I hate doing plumbing jobs?

On the up side, I've lived long enough to witness exactly one degree of arc in earths precession.
