News flies fast now days with all these new gizmos and doo dads we have at our fingertips .... Back in my day we sat around the AM radio in the evenings .. We used our voices to communicate what we'd learned .. Today we use our fingertips to learn and send communications .. New Information Revealed About Chinese Spy Balloon That Crossed U.S.
The China balloon that lazily traversed the U.S. earlier this year used American-made hardware to carry out espionage against the U.S., according to The Wall Street Journal.
Officials of the People’s Republic of China reportedly cautioned against U.S. disclosure of details about the balloon, which was downed by an F-16 fighter off the S. Carolina coast.
The Biden administration was threatened with retaliation if it released information about the spy balloon, according to a report from The Daily Wire.
The wreckage of the balloon revealed a mix of commercially available U.S. gear and specialized Chinese sensors, confirming suspicions that the balloon was deployed for surveillance purposes, not weather readings as initially suggested. According to U.S. officials, the balloon was designed for signals intelligence collection operations and forms part of a larger fleet that has flown over more than 40 countries spanning five continents.
During briefings, lawmakers were reportedly informed the balloon’s launch order was issued without PRC President Xi Jinping’s knowledge. The balloon’s flight across the U.S. raises serious national security concerns.
