It could take this long. However, POTUS couldn't possibly say anything different, so...
It's like the New Hampshire scandal. For one thing, it's not an isolated situation. And no one can just go in and remove a bunch of key people. Those that can be flipped and/or freed from whatever manipulation might be on them is essential.
To suggest that Trump's people are in there to profit themselves is naïve. If that's what they're doing, then they are not Trump's people. And we know he was surrounded by snakes and if they are they will be caught in the dragnet.
