Ms. Brooke, the mission and the objective are the same: Space dominance. It is imperative that America attains uncontested dominance in space as well as the ability to maintain that dominance.
The alternative is unthinkable and irreparable.
If any other nation achieves the ability to deny the United States ability to maintain its satellites in space and to suppress the ability of the U.S.A. to launch more satellites into orbit, that nation's dominance will be easily maintained for with that advantage they will be able to take out the more than metaphorical eyes of the United States' military as well as telecommunications.
Given the advantage of satellite gathered intelligence and the ability for its forces to communicate while denying that same intelligence and ability to communicate to all other nations by taking out satellites one way or another, the military forces of a fascist government such as China or Russia would have an immense advantage over the U.S.A. and its allies.
