Far too many Patriots are still drunk on the hymns of the “Drums of War”. Gaza(Palestinian) civilians *can not* leave Gaza -> the Israeli military in the North has ‘shoot to kill’ orders in place. The southern exit into Egypt/the desert is controlled by the Egyptian military, and through several regional agreements, does not allow transit in or out. The port of Gaza is blockaded by the Israeli navy, and no foreign commerce (except previously agreed humanitarian aid), goes in or out. The population of Gaza is a makeup of Arab and Jew, and the civilians of ALL sides get along fairly well (all things considered). More than 35% of Palestinians have denounced Hamas over the last decade, believing (rightfully) that Hamas was first created by the USA and NATO, to destabilize their self governance process (familiar?) and sabotage any hope of local peace w/ the region’s largest military power to the North(Israel). Collective punishment is GENOCIDE, and is NOT the answer.
